Productivity-Enhancing EDM Automation

EDM is an extremely accurate but relatively slow process. MC Machinery has developed automated solutions to increase EDM throughput. For example, an automated cell integrating a Roku-Roku high-speed vertical machining center can machine graphite electrodes to be stored and used on a sinker EDM in the cell – allowing many operations to take place unattended. Our new MD+CELL^TM allows a wire EDM developed for the medical industry to load and cut workpieces in succession – loading and unloading them automatically.
