LSN: Nesting - CAD/CAM Programming Fundamentals

Disclaimer! This class type is setup primarily for new purchasers of the Metamation software. As a courtesy, if there is an existing class where new students are already assigned AND there are open slots available, customers who have had the class before can send staff to audit (sit in) at no cost.
If however, there is a class posted that has no other students signed up it will be treated as a special class and a fee may be assessed. You must sign up for a class at least 2 weeks prior to start. If you are an existing customer you will be informed about charges prior to start date.


Description:


The Diamondsoft LSN course is designed to introduce and instruct the student to free shape geometry nesting. The class will detail the benefits and time savings of generating an automatic nested pattern from a predefined set of inputs. At the end of this course the student should be able to select a set of input files, define nest parameters and output NC code for nested jobs to run on the machine.

Who should attend:


This course is designed primarily for Laser Programmers who will be programming parts for the machine. This class is recommended for both first time Diamondsoft users and those wishing for a refresher course in the software.

A basic understanding of CNC operations and general Fabrication concepts is suggested. Knowledge of industry terms used in this course will greatly aid in understanding of the machine features.
